Review

Despite Edward Snowden's uniqueness, this biographical film from Oliver Stone has become somewhat characterless. Stone's direction is a bit too much about going through the motions; there's not much to see of the once radical director who viewed things from his own perspective. That being said, the story is factual and treated with dignity, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt makes for a good Snowden, especially in the more dramatically challenging scenes.
