FILMOGRAPHY (ONLY REVIEWED ENTRIES)
Born in 1937 to Henry Fonda, one of the greatest stars of Hollywood's Golden Era, Jane Fonda went on to become one of the most acclaimed and versatile actresses of her generation. She began her career in the late 1950s, quickly establishing herself as a leading lady through a mix of charm, intelligence, and emotional depth. Fonda won two Academy Awards for Best Actress, for her performances in Klute (1971) and Coming Home (1978), and earned several other Oscar nominations and other awards for roles that showcased her ability to inhabit complex, layered characters. Over the decades, she has excelled in a wide range of genres, from intense dramas to sophisticated comedies, working with some of the most celebrated directors and actors in the industry. Her acting career waned in the 1980s, when she instead focused on creating workout videos that made her a household name for a new generation. Her brother is actor Peter Fonda.
