Corey Haim
FILMOGRAPHY (ONLY REVIEWED ENTRIES)
This once precocious, sensitive juvenile performer first came to prominence with his delightful title role in David Seltzer's Lucas (1986). From then on, Haim slowly worked his way into budding superstardom as Hollywood's cutest little heartthrob. After a few notable successes, most of his films from the early 1990s onward were dim-witted, senseless action comedies, but he did still once in a while turn in a fine performance in which his not inconsiderable dramatic talent was displayed (such as in Oh, What a Night). However, after growing out of youth roles, Haim had trouble finding work in the film business, and by the late 1990s, he had to file for bankruptcy after amassing debts of over $100,000. Haim died of a drug overdose in March 2010.
