After breaking through as a leading man in Norwegian cinema in the early 2000s, Aksel Hennie was tipped for an international career. The versatile and prolific Hennie also made his directorial debut in 2004 with Uno. In 2008, he starred as the title character in the WWII drama Max Manus, the most expensive Norwegian film to date. One of his best acting achievement came as a voice-actor in the Danish animated comedy Terkel i knibe, where Hennie provided all the Norwegian voices.
