Elisabeth Moss
FILMOGRAPHY (ONLY REVIEWED ENTRIES)
One of the most talented actresses of her generation, whose rise to fame has been slow and meticulous, arguably due in part to her unconventional looks. These are also among her best assets, however, because Elisabeth Moss can play anything from the attractive lead to the ugly duckling with equal conviction. She brings remarkable emotional range and power to her work. Moss started out as a child actress in the early 1990s before having something of a breakthrough as a teen in 1999, when she starred both in the TV drama The West Wing, as the daughter of President Bartlet (Martin Sheen), and in Girl, Interrupted, opposite Winona Ryder and Angelina Jolie. She moved into leading roles with the acclaimed drama series Mad Men (2007-2015), and followed it with another major TV success in The Handmaid's Tale (from 2017).
