Pete Postlethwaite
FILMOGRAPHY (REVIEWED ENTRIES ONLY)
Immensely talented, pock-marked character actor who was a late bloomer on the big screen. After bit parts and TV roles dating back to the 1970s, Postlethwaite got his big break in the early 1990s with supporting roles in big-budget productions such as Alien 3, The Last of the Mohicans, and In the Name of the Father, the latter two opposite Daniel Day-Lewis. After an Academy Award nomination for the latter film and a subsequent breakout role in the critically acclaimed The Usual Suspects, Postlethwaite was in high demand for the remaineder of his career, often playing characters caught in intense personal predicaments or moral dilemmas.
