Review
This
BBC produced TV-movie about the aftermath of the Challenger disaster
in 1986 is diligent, interesting and told with a clever sense of
suspense by James Hawes. The basis for the script are two books, one
of which was written by the protagonist of this story, Dr. Richard
Feynman – a theoretical physicist who is unfazed by the threatening
nature and hierarchy of NASA and the American government, and
decides to get to the bottom of what went wrong with the now
infamous space shuttle based on his own expertise and empirical
data. This may well be a film better suited for people who have a
history of listening to people like Feynman talk in real life, but
the tense nature and technical novelty of the story should make it
fascinating to action and thriller buffs as well.
