Review
A
snowy, rural Michigan is the backdrop for this cunning little crime
film about two psychologically unstable siblings (Eric Bana and
Olivia Wilde) on the run after a casino heist gone wrong. They split
up in the woods in order to be harder to track, and end up with
completely contrasting realizations about their lives after
stumbling across various individuals along their track. Except for
the decisive love story, which seems to catch the two actors and/or
the director somewhat out of their depths, the many character
relations are constantly interesting and sometimes even downright
stirring. Eric Bana revels in his newfound bad-boy-image, and it's
great to have Sissy Spacek and Kris Kristofferson onboard when you
need solid character performances with limited screen-time and
context.
