Review

Every once in a while, it is possible to laugh while watching Troy Miller's stupid, unnecessary Dumb and Dumberer. At least there will be moments that call for a smile. But mostly this is just a painfully dreary movie starring two semi-talented comedians trying hard to be someone else. Eric Christian Olsen so much wants to copy Jim Carrey that he comes off as an absurd caricature (of an actor that himself is mostly caricaturing). His performance is immensely over the top, and so is most of this annoying movie. Its only asset is the Farrelly brothers' characters, but it would be wrong to credit Troy Miller for them. His writing is not comparable by far.
