The First Wives Club (1996)
This spastic attempt at setting
patriarchal organization structures right from a feminist perspective is neither
particularly entertaining nor well-executed, despite the best efforts of the
three energetic, middle-aged Hollywood stars Goldie Hawn, Diane Keaton and Bette
Midler. The film offers them lots of screentime and material to work with, but
the drama is too slight and the comedy too forced.
