Review
Exciting, packed and
well-paced film by German director Robert Schwentke in which the highly
selective actress Jodie Foster must search for her missing daughter
inside a state-of-the-art airplane which she helped design. The movie
begins as a drama, develops into a thriller and then, unfortunately, ends off as a
somewhat too slick action movie. The problem isn't that the
script doesn't hold up, but rather that it comes off overly plotted. The
acting throughout is fine, with Jodie Foster giving a good
performance in the not very challenging lead, the
talented Peter Sarsgaard looking great but being somewhat confined by a
restricting role, and with Sean Bean in a delightfully well-weighted
character.
