Review
You might have thought the yeti-ish
killer from
Fritt vilt was disposed of when Ingrid Bolsø Berdal planted
an ice axe through his chest and sent him down into the crevasse, but in
this sequel, he reappears in soap-opera fashion to wreak more havoc in the
Norwegian mountains – this time in the local hospital.
With that said, both the awakening and
the subsequent small plot developments are quite clever. Although this
series (as this has fast become) is as genre-bound as any horror film
series, the films – including this one – retain a welcoming freshness
amid the deranged and seemingly unmotivated lone killer, the screaming
young ladies, the creaking doors, and the secluded houses. And of
course, a little female power does the trick in the end.
