Review
Ever wondered how
Ace Ventura: Pet Detective
would have turned out if you removed Jim Carrey and replaced him with a
mediocre comedian? Happy
Gilmore more or the less gives you the answer. Only in
Ace
Ventura, Mr. Adam Sandler would at least have had some
good lines and oddities to work with. In this picture, the material
mainly consists of toilet humour, which at best is a little bit amusing,
but mostly is either horrible or tedious. And poor Sandler cannot add
much more than effort to his part. So much effort, actually, that he's
closer to frantic than funny. Old-timers Carl Weathers (Rocky)
and Richard
Kiel (Jaws from James Bond) are the only redeeming attributes
here.
