Review
After beginning as a traditional and
quite interesting buddy cop movie, In the Shadow of the Moon
ventures into Terminatoresque territory and becomes a
thought-experiment revolving around time-travel and causation.
Director Jim Mickle (Cold
in July) shows that he can handle semi-ludicrous
material and almost turn it into a good movie. He is helped by a
solid, dedicated performance by lead actor Boyd Holbrook, his second
starring role.
