Review

The format exhibits a certain creative spark, with its faux 1970s talk show setting and ditto visuals, in this revival of the 'found footage' subgenre by Australian sibling filmmakers Colin and Cameron Cairnes. Unfortunately, there is little new in terms of horror tropes, and the film becomes more predictable – and less scary – as it progresses. A tediously familiar demonic possession precedes a messy and utterly underwhelming ending that feels like something out of a school play.
