Review
This
classically built-up 90s thriller is just short of believable, just
short of ingenious – with it's black humour, overblown characters
and heavy plotting. When the drama and interplay between Bill Paxton
and Billy Bob Thornton really gets going, however, it draws you in
like the best of its kind and the potential shines through. If
only director Sam Raimi could have kept the tone a little less
over-the-top, the effect could have been scintillating.
