Review
In the wake of Michael Moore's
successful 'pop-documentaries', bright Morgan Spurlock has the idea to
simultaneously attack McDonald's and make a name for himself. Super
Size Me is the somewhat charming product, but the idea is of course
very simple and the outcome equally predictable. There isn't much in
here that most of us didn't already know, and in order to meet feature
length requirements, Spurlock drags this on and on. With that said, it
is a useful production and Spurlock is fine in front of the camera. The
movie's strengths are mainly it's humour, and some characters, such as
Dan Gorske, are real fun. Why not make a movie about him instead? Well,
at least Spurlock has a leg inside the business now...
