Review

Emotionally charged made-for-TV movie about a teenager's life-threatening heart disease and ensuing transplant. The movie is slightly critical towards the American health care system's handling of a situation like this, but the filmmakers' real focus is the interpersonal drama around the kid and his family. Gena Rowlands' powerful performance as the mother and debutante Rob Lowe's sympathetic turn in the lead help augment a rather involving narrative.
