Review
This is a cute little family film which
looks and feels like 2005. Young Petter moves from the city to the
country and befriends a dog whose owner is mistreating him. The
inexperienced child actors are sympathetic, and there a number of
Norwegian up-and-comers in supporting roles, notably Ingar Helge
Gimle and Thorbjørn Harr. The target audience will probably be more
impressed by the dog Samson, however. Venner for livet works
quite well within its set rules and scope.
