Since then, Terrence Howard has been a man of great promise, and in later years, this promise has finally materialized into star status. His Academy Award nominated performance in Hustle & Flow being the definite catalyst excelling in the Oscar-winning Crash a year before. Possibly the heir to Denzel Washington's implicit African-American actor's crown.
