WE PREDICT THE OSCARS

Not too many surprises to be found in this years nominees. Mel Gibson and Michael Moore hoped for recognition, but their ultimately weren't good enough. Biopics have a large portion of the nominees this year as both The Aviator, Finding Neverland and Ray take up large portions. Sideways is a breath of fresh air from independent sources and for this reviewer, the nominations of Alan Alda and Natalie Portman are joyable. I will comment on my disappointments as I see more of the years films, but I feel Kill Bill: Vol 2 could have got some kind of recognition, and I'm also a bit disappointed that Pedro Almodóvar wasn't given a nomination for best script for his La Mala Educación.
