Review

Capricorn One is an agreeable blend of two telling 1970s themes: space travel and political conspiracies. James Brolin, Sam Waterston and O. J. Simpson are astronauts who find themselves in grave danger when their planned trip to Mars is blown off and the authorities decide to cover it all up for the outside world. Peter Hyams directs with a sense of suspense, and solid performances from the main cast make this at times improbable adventure into an enjoyable watch.
