Review
John
Schlesinger's Eye for an Eye, his penultimate film, could
have been an interesting story about vigilante-justice – especially
the aspect of the self-help group is fruitful – had it not been for
the fact that the antagonist is nowhere close to a real human being,
but rather Kiefer Sutherland in full-blown overacting mode. Ed
Harris' work is deserving of a better end product than this
arch-typical 1990s genre yarn.
