Sally Field
FILMOGRAPHY (ONLY REVIEWED ENTRIES)
After a couple of smaller roles, Sally Field got her big break in the movies in late 1970s, usually as Burt Reynolds' girlfriend, a role she also brought home with her. Her pinnacle as an actress, however, was probably 1979's Norma Rae, for which she received numerous awards, including an Oscar and a Golden Globe. She continued to star in high-profile films throughout the 1980s, such as Absence of Malice, Places in the Heart (for which she received her second Academy Award), and Steel Magnolias. After Forrest Gump in 1994, Field went into semi-retirement from screen acting, only appearing in a handful of films. In 2012, her name was back on everyone's lips after her fine performance as Mary Todd Lincoln in Lincoln garnered her numerous award nominations.
