Review
Corey Haim leaves his ambitions behind
and embarks on the Burt Reynolds-inspired just-for-fun part of his career, making
B-movies with supposedly engaging action. With Leo Rossi, Haim forms an unlikely
bank robbing team consisting of father and son, and the idea for director Spiro Razatos
was arguably to find the right balance between fun and warmth, but there are only
ever small hints of either. Bad acting by the supporting cast and very few
original thoughts ensure this one starts dragging almost from the beginning. The
best segments are when Haim and Rossi have gotten rid of their partners and
drive around by themselves. At that point, it's almost as if there's a real
connection between the two. Followed by Fast
Getaway II
in 1994.
