Review
Although it ends up being a bit too much
and too fast, Mouse Hunt is for almost its entire running time a fine
piece of film. Directed by newcomer Gore Verbinski, the film looks
vintage and behaves like a classic with great vigour, colours and tone.
Nathan Lane displays his unique comic talent (and leading man industry)
in the lead, and the mouse is portrayed brilliantly – technically as
well as artistically. This is a film that knows exactly how stupid
to be – expect for in the last few scenes. The highlight of the film
comes with Christopher Walken who brings a hilarious character to life.
