Review
Time
travel fun with more than one twist, and with enough zest,
intelligence and controversy to keep even the most seasoned viewer
interested throughout. Ethan Hawke and Sarah Snook are the duo
tasked with keeping the secrets of the film's premise obscure long
enough for our brains not to ignite as a result of circular
thinking, because as with any time-travel story, you must be
prepared for loops and logical contradictions. That being said, The
Spierig Brothers, who adapted the screenplay from a Robert Heinlein
novella, has a more original story on their hands than we've seen in
a long time in this subgenre. And they're not bad at presenting it
either.
