Review
A
bunch of horror cliches and a not very original script (we've seen
this "twist" before in The Others,
Passengers
etc.) effectively kills of any chance this thriller has to become
airborne despite the effort the filmmakers and the performers put
in. The film boasts some fine craftsmanship and some effective
narrative techniques which make us intrigued (for instance the
introduction of the Rachel character), but writer/director Todd
Levin then gets too hung-up in jump-scares and masks, and we
ultimately don't care all that much about this only semi-sympathetic
couple's predicament. William Mapother appears in an insignificant
scene towards the end.
