Review
The
popular genre (or rather sub-genre) is
mystery-that-will-change-your-perception-at-the-end, and the director is
the talented Marc Forster who toys with both the viewer's mind and the
more technical aspects of filmmaking - notably some delightful editing. Stay
has a lot to offer, but it requires patience from the viewer. Unlike
many other film's of its kind, however, the film has a finale which doesn't
cheat and which is also intellectually rewarding. Young Ryan Gosling affirms
his talent, Naomi Watts has an insignificant role, whereas Bob Hoskins
is fine in a small role.
