Handsome, subdued and slurring character actor of considerable talent who broke onto the scene in the mid-2000s, notably through The Notebook. Before that, Gosling had progressed slowly into movies after starting out in the Mickey Mouse Club (alongside Justin Timberlake). The rise from young, promising actor to leading man for the thoughtful and sensitive has been remarkably problem-free for this young Canadian.
