BIO

Remarkably talented performer in both theatre and film who is equally adept in periodic romance, contemporary comedy, or heavy drama. After making a name for himself in a handful of early-1990s films, notably under the guidance of Hans Petter Moland (Secondløitnanten, Kjærlighetens kjøtere), Eidsvold was hailed as the future of Norwegian acting and was seen in a number of lead roles on stage, particularly Hamsun's "Sult" opposite his brother Eindride. Eidsvold's natural presence in front of the camera, coupled with his characteristic, bug-eyed appearance, has made him a favourite among critics and audiences alike.

TRIVIA

• I first saw Eidsvold on stage at Nationaltheatret in a magnificent stage adaption of Knut Hamsun's Sult in which Gard played the lead and brother Eindride played his inner demons.
