Henrik Mestad

Open-eyed and immensely talented Norwegian actor with the ability to portray stripped down characters while still maintaining both integrity and authenticity. Mestad had minor roles in Norwegian films during the 1980s, notably Adjø Solidaritet, before being attached to Nationaltheatret in the early 1990s after graduating from Teaterhøgskolen. He has appeared in over 40 plays here over the past 15 years. In 2006, he made a potent big screen breakthrough with roles in three major productions, including a magnificent turn as the pedophile Hans in Erik Richter Strand's Sønner.
