This beautiful and petite actress was one of the darlings of both the media and the public alike during her heyday in the 1960s and 1970s, when she was one of the leading figures of the "swinging London" scene. She combined a naturalness in front of camera with an at times great depth of character. Lived with both Terence Stamp and Warren Beatty during the 60s/70s, the latter with whom she starred in a number of films. Her career had a swan song with Away from Her in 2006, for which she received a host of awards and nominations, among other things her fourth Academy Award nomination.
