BIO

One of the most talented actresses of her generation, whose rise to fame has been slow and meticulous, probably partly because of her unconventional looks. These are also one of her best assets, however, because Elisabeth Moss can play anything from the attractive lead to the ugly duckling equally convincingly. And she has a remarkable emotional range and power in her work. Moss started out as a child actress in the early 1990s, and had something of a breakthrough as a teen in 1999 when she starred in both the TV drama The West Wing, as the daughter of President Bartlet (Martin Sheen), and in Girl, Interrupted, opposite Winona Ryder and Angelina Jolie. She moved into leading roles with the acclaimed drama series Mad Men from 2007 to 2015, following up with another TV-success with The Handmaid's Tale from 2017.
