BIO

Charming, capable actress who began her career in commercials in the early 1980s before getting her big break with The Karate Kid in 1984. After girl-next-door-ish parts as the leading man's love interest in Cocktail (1988) and Back To the Future Part II and III, Shue's career stagnated for a while before she reached her zenith with an Academy Award nominated performance in Leaving Las Vegas (1995).
