Forest Whitaker
ACTOR FILMOGRAPHY (ONLY REVIEWED ENTRIES)
Likable and sympathetic character player whose daunting appearance makes his expressive presence even more resonant. After making his debut in the teen comedy Fast Times at Ridgemont High in 1982, Whitaker has built himself a reputation that easily outshines the quality of his filmography. His unorthodox-looking eyes can hide both deep sadness and explosive rage. Won the best actor award at Cannes for his portrayal of jazz virtuoso Charlie Parker in Clint Eastwood's Bird (1988), and again received rave reviews for his performance as Idi Amin in The Last King of Scotland.
