One of the finest African American actors of his generation, Don Cheadle has emerged slowly but safely to the élite of performers in Hollywood. After a handful of unnoticable roles from the mid 80s, Cheadle commended his first significant roles from the mid 90s on, his first breakthrough coming in Devil in a Blue Dress. During the next decade, Cheadle displayed progressively more of his talent in more and more important roles, excelling formidably in 2004 with an Oscar-nomination for Hotel Rwanda and a lead role in Paul Haggis' Oscar-winner Crash. He's not only a engaging and handsome screenfigure, but has a depth and sensitivity to his work that is rare.
