Morgan Freeman
FILMOGRAPHY (ONLY REVIEWED ENTRIES)
Morgan Freeman came late but strong into the public eye of movie acting. After struggling in minor roles throughout the '60s and '70s, Freeman got his break with an Oscar nomination and rave reviews for his work in Street Smart (1987). This opened up a wide variety of opportunities, and Freeman has been very wise with his choice of roles – often alternating between serious dramatic material and thrillers. His earnestness and down-to-earth persona, combined with his commanding yet sincere voice, have earned him a unique reputation in the business over the past few decades. Although his voiceovers can at times border on caricature, Freeman is still considered one of the finest actors in Hollywood, now well into his twilight years.
Eyewitness (1981) Lt. Black (Freeman): "My name is Lieutenant Black. It should be easy to remember."
