Keanu Reeves
FILMOGRAPHY (ONLY REVIEWED ENTRIES)
The question concerning this exotic- and model-looking handsome star's talent has been raised repeatedly during the past twenty years, but Keanu Reeves has constantly continued his march towards stardom. Although one can easily argue that Reeves isn't the most expressive of actors, he has two very important things going for him (in addition to his striking looks, of course): his ability to blend into most types of roles and a remarkable nack for picking the right roles. I first came to know Keanu Reeves when watching the very enjoyable Point Break some time in the early 90s. At that time, Reeves had already made his debut as a hockey goalie (incidentally the position he played himself) in the Rob Lowe-vehicle Youngblood, had a considerable role in Stephen Frears acclaimed Dangerous Liaisons and started off the goofy Bill and Ted series. It was not, however, until the mid 90's that Reeves established himself at the very top of Hollywood's star list with a commanding performance in the smash hit Speed. Since then Reeves has been able to choose roles more comfortably, and although not working his socks off in the latter part of the 90's, he again comfirmed his position at the top with a somewhat daring turn in the cult-aspiring-turned-commercial, The Matrix. Reeves has since chosen to reprise this role twice, something that his bank account has profitted more from than his status as an actor.
