I didn't much fancy this beautiful and capable actress early on in her career, but both her looks and performances are like good wine – improving with the years. Kidman seemed to experience a rejuvenation after her break-up with Tom Cruise – a much-publicised relationship that, for some reason, held her career back. Since then, she received back-to-back Oscar nominations for Moulin Rouge! and The Hours (winning for the latter) and has enjoyed commercial and critical success for her work in films such as The Others and Cold Mountain.
