David Lynch
FILMOGRAPHY (COMPLETE)
The modern master of surrealism, the bizarre and often the revolting (rivalled by David Cronenberg on the latter). While still a film school student, Lynch released the divisive, but nonetheless meritable Eraserhead, hailed by Stanley Kubrick among others. This prompted interest from other filmmakers, and Lynch got his commercial breakthrough with The Elephant Man in 1980, about the life of Joseph Merrick. The rest of Lynch's career has been eclectic and idiosyncratic. His films often containing elements of the surreal, but always with a clear interest in human psychology.
