Donald Sutherland
FILMOGRAPHY (REVIEWED ENTRIES ONLY)
Tall, long-faced, and intelligent leading man turned character actor who broke through with The Dirty Dozen in 1967, and then spent much of the 1970s as one of the most sought-after leads in the business, particularly for roles in artsy or intense dramas. He was brilliant in key films for the New Hollywood movement, such as Alan Pakula's Klute, Nicolas Roeg's Don't Look Now, and Robert Redford's Ordinary People. His career declined somewhat in the 1980s before he built an impressive body of work in supporting roles from the 1990s onwards. He is the father of actor Kiefer Sutherland.
