BIO

This boyishly handsome all-American movie-icon first made a name for himself during the 60's and 70's in various romantic and political roles with often more thematic than emotional substance. Although not the most expressive of the leading men of his generation, few combines Redford's charm, intelligence and innovation. Since the early eighties, Redford's appearances in front of the camera has been sparse, and he has committed his cause more to filmmaking, receiving Oscar-nomination for both Ordinary People and Quiz Show. To younger audiences Redford might be just as famous for the now renowned Sundance Festival which as become an important arena for independent filmmaking.
