BIO

One of the most renowned and successful directors of the 20th century. Scorsese has taken on and tackled a wide range of subjects, styles and genres throughout his fifty years in the business, and at his best, he has created timeless classics of transcending proportions, such as with Taxi Driver. In several other of his films, he's inclined to fall too much in love with the stories he tells and characters he portrays. Often collaborates with actors Robert De Niro (9 films), Joe Pesci (4 films), Harvey Keitel (5 films, early career), and Leonardo DiCaprio (5 films), as well as with screenwriter Paul Schrader. Scorsese has never made a picture that hasn't received at least one BAFTA, Golden Globe or Academy Award nomination.
